The vast majority of people who seek coaching, want to improve their results in different ways, to develop their life, make a better career, earn more money, develop their personal abilities and skills or maybe develop a company or organization!?
In all these cases, it is common for everyone to be told, "you must give 100 percent to succeed, ideally 110%". But how well does it really work, related to people's health and real results?
If you think of a short distance runner, it gives everything because it is a short distance, maybe 100 meters or 500 meters, but no longer. If you compare it to a long-distance runner, it keeps a completely different pace, to be able to last for a longer distance eg 10 km or more and therefore runs for a longer time. This means that if you line up a short-distance runner next to a long-distance runner, the one who is best adapted to the race distance wins.
The same also applies when it comes to making a career, starting, developing and running a company or being a manager/leader within a company/organization, i.e. it's about being able to endure over time. This means that if you run short distances every day, the risk that you will not last long or burn out increases. If instead you invest in being a marathon runner and stick to about 85 percent (you can choose your own percentage!)) of your capacity, you will last much longer.
There are some exceptions here and it is for example in the case of shorter projects, where the "short-distance strategy" can work better, however with a good rest before the nose "distance pass".
Unfortunately, when working as a coach, we meet a lot of people who are at risk or who have already have "hit the wall" and who are desperately looking for solutions on how to get out of their work situation. In that case, consider the above!
Make sure to rest, relax and recover during your workdays!
Take ap 85% care of yourself, and be happy your whole life!)))
